How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: From the App

Open the African Recipes app
Go to Settings (gear icon)
Tap Account
Tap Delete Account
Confirm the deletion

Option 2: Via Email

Send an email to support@africancuisines.app with:

Subject: Account Deletion Request
Body: The email address associated with your account

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

Your account profile (email, display name)
Your saved favorites and collections
Your shopping lists
Your search history
Your push notification preferences

What We Retain

Aggregated analytics — Non-identifiable usage statistics that cannot be traced back to you.
Legal records — Any data we are required to retain by law (e.g., transaction records), kept for the minimum required period.

Timeline

Account deletion is processed within 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been removed. During this period, your account will be deactivated immediately.
